Sharing and Learning

Teaching children has taught me patience, resilience, and the joy of giving back.

For the past three years, I’ve been teaching math, English, computers, and project work to students at a nearby NGO. What began as a simple way to give back has grown into one of the most meaningful parts of my week. Working with underprivileged children has taught me patience, empathy, and how important it is to stay present — explaining tough ideas in simple ways takes real focus. Just as kick-boxing and music have helped me turn energy into concentration, teaching has shown me how resilience and attention can uplift others. Giving back in this way continues to shape who I am, reminding me that learning is always a two-way street — I take away as much from my students as they do from me.
